Senior Living
Weatherford has an active Senior Center where persons aged 60 and over can come
to socialize and enjoy an affordable, balanced lunch each weekday. Activities
include but are not limited to bingo, exercise, crafts, bridge, canasta,
quilting, crocheting, dominoes, line dancing and sing-a-longs.
There is also a Meals-on-Wheels program where local volunteers deliver meals to
homebound elderly.
The Weatherford community has several annual clean-up, fix-up, paint-up days
where local businesses, churches, civic organizations and individual volunteers
join together to make much-needed repairs to the homes of needy elderly.
There are numerous opportunities for retired to persons to volunteer their time
and talents to the community. Weatherford is a community that appreciates its
seniors!
