Mr. Bagwell is a life-long resident of Parker County and attended Brock schools, graduating in 1970. He became a photographer's assistant immediately after high school, learning his trade "on the road," traveling all over the U.S. for almost 10 years. He then resettled In Weatherford, married (the late) Linda Kay Bagwell, and  opened a studio in what is now the location of the Golden Moon Restaurant on South Main Street. In 1980, the Bagwells purchased a historic, turn-of-the-century Georgian Revival home two blocks west of the Courthouse and turned it into Bagwell Studio, where it remains today.

Mr. Bagwell is currently serving his second term as president of the Weatherford Evening Lions Club, is active in the Weatherford community and an avid supporter of WISD activities, and, with his wife of eight years, Linda Brooks Bagwell, is a volunteer for the Parker County Committee on Aging, delivering Meals on Wheels and serving in various other capacities when needed.
